In many cases people get confused between work and business visa but, they both are different and serve different purpose. A business visa allows its bearer to enter the host or destination country and engage in business activities without joining that country’s labour market whereas you become a or intend to become a part of the work force and labour market if you are on a work permit/ visa.

One may require a business visa to travel to a country if

  1. They want to do some business related activities with a company located in the host country.
  2. Applicant wants to attend business conference / meeting in the host country.

Business visa is granted on a condition that the applicant must not involve in any activities that make him gain/ receive money from the host country. In some cases one may not require a business visa and a visitor / travel visa is sufficient. The visa fee, processing time and the validity of the visa differ in each case.
